Enjoy Christmas music and more when Sweet Cecilia returns to Acadiana Roots at 7 p.m. Dec. 6 in the Daily Advertiser’s Community Room, 1100 Bertrand Drive. The $10 admission includes light snacks, beverages and songs and stories from an all-female, family trio that’s won fans from Festival International de Louisiane to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.

Sisters Laura Huval and Maegan Berard Rankin, and their first cousin Callie Guidry, have recorded three CDs, including a 2015 holiday release, “Sweet Christmas.” They’re following the musical legacy of their late father and uncle, Grammy-nominated Cajun music Al Berard.
